Since its inception in 2008, SVNM has proved itself to be a trend setter and a front runner in the field of eye care services with its patient centric approach and its inclination on cutting-edge technology.

SVNM, Surat is set on a journey to deliver world-class comprehensive patient care services to every individual with an emphasis on quality, maintaining empathy and patient dignity for all the people walking in through its doors. In all its endeavors, it has continuously strived to upgrade its facilities, skills and equipment to match world class standards and consistently invested in making available, the latest medical technologies with human touch.

The hospital is named after Swami Vivekananda, an Indian Hindu Monk & philosopher whose efforts positioned Indian culture and religion on world map and his teachings motivated numerous Indian youths into a heightened state of consciousness, becoming better person catalyzing nation’s as well as individual’s growth.

SVNM’s journey started in a 2-room hospital with a team of 1 Doctor & 1 assisting staff under the visionary leadership of Dr. Bhavin Patel who saw the potential of becoming, one of the largest facilities in South Gujarat for eye care. Over the years, this organization has evolved & stayed dedicated towards its goal of compassionate service for vision.

The problem of preventable blindness is rapidly rising is becoming a hurdle, impairing the growth of our nation. We have identified the growing issue of preventable blindness and we at SVNM are working together to eliminate it.

Swami Vivekanand Netra Mandir is to work towards Preventable blindness by making eye care services available to all walks of life irrespective of their paying capacity and area of living & to increase the well-being of the blind people in society by training them to become independent come into the mainstream.
